Updates Since We Last Sailed

There have been a few updates since we last sailed on Sail Across the Sun, and we want to make sure you know about them!

Vibe Beach Club

Vibe Beach Club is an exclusive, adults-only retreat with ocean views, plush loungers, an oversized hot tub, and perks like chilled towels and fruit skewers. Access requires a Pass or Cabana for two, available for your full cruise. View the Vibe Beach Club packages.

Vibe Beach Club packages can be purchased through your Norwegian account once you receive your NCL reservation number (about 6-8 weeks prior to sailing).

Access to Deck 14 is now limited to those with Vibe Beach Club Passes.

High Five Perks

In addition to getting a jump on beverage package purchases, Sixthman is now offering exclusive perks to your Sail Across the Sun experience! This includes a $50 shore excursion credit and discounts on specialty dining.

A $50 shore excursion credit will be applied to the lead passenger’s onboard account (Norwegian account), just a little something to help you make the most of your time ashore! The $50 shore excursion credit will be applied to the lead passenger’s excursion at the time of purchase. Learn more here.

Specialty dining on Norwegian Jewel now has a cover charge for each restaurant, instead of ordering everything al a carte. The cover charge includes several items you can choose from at each restaurant. Sixthman is able to offer a 50% discount on all specialty dining cover charges! You can check out the dining options for Norwegian Jewel under the “Good Eats” tab to see which restaurants have cover charges. Please note that the price listed reflects the 50% discount.

Merch Store

The merch store has a new home! You can now find all your favorite merch in Azura Restaurant on Deck 6, MID.

New Deck 12 Oceanview Cabins

Speaking of a new merch store, the Library (the previous merch store location) has been transformed into Oceanview cabins! These are available to book and have quick and easy access to the Pool Deck Stage.

Automatic Billing

Sixthman has had the same basic payment options for 10+ years, which included Choose Your Own Amount Automatic Billing and Total Automatic Billing. We recently re-evaluated the options and we have eliminated the ability for multiple cards to be used for automatic payments on a single reservation (known as Choose Your Own Amount automatic billing). This option is being phased out as events go on sale, which is why you might still see it on some of our upcoming events that went on sale prior to last month.

This change has been made to provide the best, most seamless experience for our guests. The Choose Your Own Amount plan was a consistent point of confusion and frustration for many guests, requiring phone calls and emails to cabin mates whenever a change was made to the reservation or any of the cards that were set up for payment declined.

If cabin mates are not comfortable paying each other directly for their portion of the cost, they are still able to make payments to Sixthman separately by adhering to the manual payment schedule. Manual payments can also be made in addition to Total Automatic Billing, and future automatic payments will recalculate accordingly. The terms of the $100 per person deposit option have not been affected by this change; $100 per person (or $200 for a single occupancy cabin) is a valid deposit if Total Automatic Billing is set up at the time of booking.

While we know this may be disappointing to guests who previously used this option, we believe that the current options will result in a clearer, smoother experience for more guests.
